One of the important attractions of Jaipur, the Laxmi Narayan Temple is thronged both by visitors and the residents of the city. The deities residing in this temple are Lord Vishnu and Sri Laxmi.
The temple is situated on the famous Moti Dungri or Pearl Hill. Made of white temple, this beautiful temple has several counterparts across India. All of them are made by the Birla family of industrialists and so are popularly known as the Birla temple.
The temple in Jaipur has three domes representing three different paths of religion. The windows have beautiful stained glass depicting scenes from Hindu mythology. The translucent marble idol of Lord Ganesha is a masterpiece. Verdant gardens surround the temple complex.
The Moti Dungri hill also hosts the Moti Doongri Fort, converted into a small palace by Ram Singh II for his wife Maharani Gayatri Devi.
