Desert Festival Jaisalmer

Desert festival held in the month of January is an absolutely delightful experience. It is not a festival with any religious agenda; it is organized simply to make merry and also to showcase Rajasthan's culture. The weather also is wonderful at this time of the year.

Jaisalmer comes alive with people dressed in the signature colours of Rajasthan. There are performances of folk music and dances, a turban-tying competition and a Mr. Desert contest. Puppeteers, acrobats, folk performers, camel acrobatics, camel races and camel polo, all make this festival a huge hit with the visitors.

Kite flying against the open blue sky and desert winds is a leisure activity that no one likes to miss. Camel ride and visit to the sand dunes cap the desert festival experience.
